Individual Career Coaching

Cyndi Bennett, trauma-informed career coach, smiling against a mountain sunrise. Text reads: “A Different Approach to Career Development. Your Past May Influence How You Experience Work Today. It Doesn't Have to Decide What's Possible Tomorrow.”

Your career challenges are personal. Your career strategy should be, too.

You’ve been thinking about making a change.

Maybe you’ve been applying for jobs without getting the opportunities you want.

Maybe you’re navigating a difficult manager or a workplace that’s leaving you exhausted.

Maybe you’re ready for a promotion, a career transition, or a different kind of professional life, but you’re struggling to figure out how to move forward.

You’ve probably received plenty of career advice.

Update your resume. Speak up more. Network. Be confident. Set boundaries.

And while that advice may be useful, it doesn’t always account for the experiences, patterns, and circumstances that make your situation unique.

What if you had someone working alongside you to develop a strategy that fits your career, your goals, and the challenges you’re navigating?

That’s what individual career coaching is designed to provide.

Explore Coaching Together

Imagine What Could Become Possible

A winding mountain path leads toward a sunrise, illustrating the journey from uncertainty to possibility through individual career coaching. Three milestones highlight Clarity: understand what matters to you; Confidence: develop practical skills and strategies; and Career Direction: take meaningful steps forward.

You know you’re ready for a career change, but you’re unsure where to begin.

Instead of continuing to explore opportunities without a clear direction, we work together to identify what matters to you, evaluate your options, and develop a practical plan for moving forward.

You’re navigating a difficult workplace situation.

Instead of spending all your energy trying to figure out what to do next, we explore your options, identify what you can influence, and develop a strategy that supports your professional goals and well-being.

You want to pursue a promotion or negotiate your salary.

Instead of allowing uncertainty or self-doubt to determine whether you pursue the opportunity, we work on articulating your value, preparing for important conversations, and advocating for yourself.

You’ve experienced professional setbacks that have affected your confidence.

Instead of allowing those experiences to define what you believe is possible, we explore your strengths, accomplishments, and professional identity so you can begin making decisions from a more informed perspective.

These are the kinds of challenges we can work through together.

The goal is to help you develop greater clarity, confidence, and practical strategies for navigating your career.

Career Development That Accounts for Your Experiences

Our professional lives don’t happen in isolation from everything else we’ve experienced.

For those of us navigating the effects of complex trauma, CPTSD, or difficult professional experiences, traditional career advice can sometimes leave important questions unanswered.

What happens when feedback activates an old protective response?

When speaking up feels threatening, even though we know what we want to say?

When we’ve spent years proving our competence but still struggle to recognize our own capabilities?

Or when we know a workplace isn’t healthy for us, but leaving brings up an entirely different set of fears?

These experiences can influence how we make decisions, pursue opportunities, communicate, and advocate for ourselves.

My approach to career coaching considers those patterns alongside the practical skills needed to build a successful career.

We work with the person you are, the experiences you’ve had, and the future you want to create.

Why Work With Me?

I’m Cyndi Bennett, a trauma-informed career coach and Founder of the Resilient Career Academy.

I bring 25 years of corporate experience, graduate education in business and instructional systems technology, and professional training in trauma recovery coaching to my work.

I also bring lived experience navigating a corporate career while carrying the effects of complex trauma.

I understand that career challenges aren’t always solved by learning another professional skill.

Sometimes we need to understand the patterns influencing our choices, develop a different approach, and practice navigating situations that have felt difficult for a long time.

My role is to help you explore possibilities, develop practical strategies, and move toward the career you want to build.

Let’s Explore What’s Possible for Your Career

You don’t have to arrive with a perfectly defined goal or a complete plan.

Maybe you know exactly what you want to accomplish.

Or maybe you know something needs to change, but you’re still figuring out what that change could look like.

Our first step is a free 30-minute discovery call.

We’ll talk about what you’re navigating, what you’d like to accomplish, and whether individual coaching is the right fit.

There’s no obligation to move forward.

Let's Talk About Your Career

Individual coaching is educational and career-development support, not therapy or mental health treatment.
